Increasingly, the objects that support our day-to-day life are connected to the Internet to exchange data amongst themselves and shape into our behavior. This technological trend called the Internet of Things, or IoT, was the central theme of FISL17 and, because of its inexorable character, is a subject of high interest and relevance.

In FISL18, we are going to discuss the innovations and trends in the area, such as the popularization of smartphones, which increasingly demand the development of applications integrated with other computing platforms and IoT devices.
