Understanding that the defense of Free Software must occur at an international level and that the advancement of policies favorable to Free Software may be threatened by particular scenarios, participants and representatives of different communities and groups from different countries defined, during FISL13, the construction of an International Free Software Network, RISoL.

These are RISoL’s priority commitments:

1) Consolidate the relationships among its members to strengthen the defense of Free Software initiatives in their countries, through coordinated global actions to support the sites.

2) Disseminate and defend Free Software as a basic component of technological sovereignty.

3) Share experiences, practices and documentation in the scope of Free Software and Knowledge, strengthening and fostering the local work of its members in each of its scopes of action.

During FISL18, entities participating in RISoL will hold meetings and meetings to strengthen the need to organize and coordinate globally, acting locally.

RISoL members are members of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Guatemala, Ecuador, Spain, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay.
